After the Alamo, we checked out the river walk. We ate lunch at the oldest restaurant on the river walk, Casa Rio, and did a lot of walking.
Other than all the tourists at the Alamo and on the River Walk, San Antonio was like a ghost town. There were hardly any people out downtown. A lot of the hotels/restaurants downtown were out of business. It was honestly a little eerie and rundown. There wasn't a whole lot to see after lunch so we headed back to Austin.
We stopped at a huge outlet mall in San Marcos and did a little shopping. I think everyone from San Antonio must have been at the outlet mall because it was packed! After a quick and delicious stop for a mini-Blizzards at Dairy Queen, we headed home.
All-in-all, the weather made it a perfect day for a little road trip and we had a pretty good time!
That's an awesome picture of the riverwalk...and a trashcan.
