Harper's First Birthday!

I can't believe my little girl is one!  It seems just like yesterday when I woke up in labor.  I remember it so vividly and I can't believe that I was so fortunate to carry such a precious girl around in my belly.  This has been the best year of my life and I am looking forward to many more with my sweet girl!

Harper had a great time turning one!  She had a little pumpkin party with a bouncy house, pumpkin decorating and, of course, cake!
Getting ready for the party in her Halloween costume!

The little smash cake.

New jungle gym from her grandparents!

Harper usually loves a bouncy house, but not this one:(

Mini-pumpkins for the little ones and homemade pumpkin butter for the adults.

I love how cute the cupcakes turned out.

Daddy tried to convince Harper that she loved the moonwalk.

He might have just made it worse:)

But a sweet, little monster made it better:)

All the little kids in their costumes!  There is a little cat named Rowan in the back.  She was too busy messing with Patrick for us to get a good shot of her:)

A special someone came all the way from CO for the party!

Cake time!

She wasn't so sure what she thought about it.

So Daddy helped her do a taste test.

Then she liked it a little more.

All pooped out after the party.

Remember when she was this little?

When Harper was born, she weighed 7 lbs. and 14 oz., she was 21 inches long and her head circumference was only in the 10th percentile.  Now, she weighs 17 lbs. and 5.5 oz., she is 29 and 1/2 inches long and her head circumference is in the 75th percentile.  She's only in the 5th percentile with her weight (little shrimp:)) and she's in the 50th percentile for height.

Recently, Harper has started waving to everyone and standing up on her own for long periods of time.  She took a few steps on her own around the 14th, but she hasn't wanted anything to do with walking (on her own) since then.  She laughs when you mention something that she wants or something that she wants to do.  She's still sleeping from 7pm to about 7:30 or 8am.  She has six teeth.  She's says a couple of words like "Bye" and "Da Da."  She seems to know that "Da Da" is her Daddy, but no "Mama" for me yet:(  She loves Moose, grapes, bananas, turkey, paper, tags, pushing buttons and reading.  She gives all kinds of hugs and kisses and really is a sweet, little girl.

Happy Birthday Harper!  We are so blessed to have you in our lives!
