I had every intention of doing an 8 month post on Charlie. It was my most favorite month with him so far! He's really starting to show us his personality and he is the sweetest, happiest baby I know. I didn't even take an official 8 month picture of him. Now, here we are at 9 and 1/2 months and there is so much that I want to remember about him, right now, at this age, so I thought his ninth month definitely deserved a post.
At Charlie's nine month check-up he weighed 18lbs, which landed him in the 25th percentile. I really expected him to be bigger. Shortly after his check-up he started waking up numerous times a night. I thought for sure he was sick, so we went back to the doctor 10 days later and he had gained 1 and 1/2 pounds! He was (and still is) going through a growth spurt. And the kid can eat! He loves solids! Since about 6 months old, you haven't been able to eat anything without him screaming until you shared. Nothing has changed. He wants to try everything! He's pretty much only eating finger foods now, with the exception of some cereal and yogurt. He loves any kind of meat and fruit. He doesn't really like cheese. He has five teeth. Sometimes, he inhales things so quickly that he chokes, but he's getting better about chewing his food.
Charlie loves all of us so much, including Moose. He's get so excited when Kyle comes home and loves to see Harper first thing in the morning and right after his naps. She always showers him with hugs and kisses when he wakes up. He's motoring all over the place, with his little army crawl, and he started pulling up on things a couple of days ago. He would rather go through the cabinets than his toy basket. His favorite song is "If you're happy and you know it." He's still working on clapping, but he waves a lot, gives high fives and gives tons of kisses. He's starting to do a lot of mimicking. He's still so super ticklish.
So, Charlie is actually 11 months old now and I am just posting this blog. Oops! I figured I would go ahead and include some of his 10 month pictures. I'm hoping to do an 11 month post, but we'll see.:)
