A Birthday and a Reunion

This past weekend was Kyle's ten year reunion in Houston.  It was the same day as Blair's birthday, so we went out on Thursday night to celebrate.  We went to "First Thursday," an event that happens every first Thursday of the month on one of Austin's most unique streets, South Congress.  South Congress is lined with local businesses and lots of Austin flavor.  First Thursday is basically a street fair, with a little bit of live music and a lot of trailer food thrown in.  They had so many vendors selling everything from pipes to burp cloths to art.  We walked around for a while and then met the boys after work for a drink.  Most of these pictures were taken past Harper's bedtime, and mine too for that matter, so she looks less than thrilled:)

We spent Friday night at home, which was nice change of pace for me.  Then we headed to Houston on Saturday afternoon.  After a quick stop by the Kamrath's to freshen up, we went over to Kyle's school for some alumni weekend events.  We took a tour of the high school.  Kyle was so excited to see how much had changed and was surprised at how much has stayed the same.  It was nice to get a little glimpse into his past.  I also, however, felt like I got a glimpse into my future.  Our tour was led by three sweet freshmen girls and the whole time I couldn't help but think about how Harper will be their age before I know it.  I didn't get any pictures at the school, or at the reunion, if you can believe that!

After our tour we headed over to the Kamrath's country club where they were having their annual tennis tournament.  I did manage to take some pictures while we were there.

Kyle and I had a great time at the reunion.  They had a really great turn out.  Harper stayed at home with Kyle's parents and slept the entire time that we were gone.  What a good baby:)

Before we left on Sunday, the "Grandmas" came over for breakfast.  Jack made his famous pancakes and we ate and visited for a while.  Grandma Jean and Grandma June couldn't believe how much Harper had grown since our last visit.

Before we left Houston, we stopped by Aqua Hand Car Wash and Detail to get my car cleaned.  They were so busy!  We are so proud of Kevin!  He has done such a good job with the place and my car looked great!
