Two Buck Chuck

Our little man turned two months old a few weeks ago.  I call him "little man" but he's not so little.  At Charlie's two month check-up, he weighed 13 pounds and was 25 inches long!  Such a big, healthy boy!  We have definitely been sleep deprived over the past couple of months, but otherwise everything has been going great!  Charlie is, obviously, a good eater and a sweet, happy, content baby.
One week old.

Probably my favorite picture of him.  About 10 days old.

Two week check-up.
9 pounds, 7 ounces.

One month old.

Six weeks old.

Two months old.

Charlie is the biggest cuddle bug!  He is still eating about every two and a half hours during the day, but he's actually pretty flexible if we're out or something.  He's not much of a crier, but he is a big talker.  He has definitely found his voice and loves to hear it:)  Sometimes, sleep is an issue.  Most nights he'll give us a couple of 4 hour stretches, but some nights he's up every 2 hours.  Other than that, he really is such a good baby.

In my last blog (months ago:)), I mentioned that Charlie was diagnosed with hydronephrosis and that his ultrasound in the hospital was normal.  Unfortunately, his follow-up ultrasound showed some abnormalities.  Charlie had to go for a little invasive procedure so we could know exactly what is going on.  It was a long day for all of us, but Charlie did great.  There is nothing for us to do about his kidneys now, but our urologist will continue to follow him with routine ultrasounds.  We're still hopeful that it will resolve spontaneously and we feel confident that he's in good hands!
Sweet little patient.

Charlie gave me a purposeful smile for the first time on May 27th.  They were few and far between for a while, but now he is the smiliest baby!  We almost have him laughing!

I couldn't be any more in love with my baby boy!  I just love how perfectly he fits into our little family!     Big sister is pretty fond of him too:)  She thinks he's "so cute."  And she always wants to hold him:)

He's almost as big as she is now!  Haha!

We're looking forward to watching Charlie grow and feel so blessed to call him ours!
