I've sat down a few times to write blogs about what we've been up to lately. It seems like we've had a lot going on and I've taken a lot of pictures that I'd love to share, but I can never quite finish a blog post! So here is my condensed version of the last two months.
At the tail end of August we got some exciting news....
Harper is going to be a big Sister!
I am due May 4th and we can't wait!
In mid-September, we went up to Colorado and visit my family for several days. We love going to visit them because it's always so relaxing and fun.
While we were in Colorado, we took Harper to the zoo in Colorado Springs. It was really a gorgeous zoo, but it was a lot of walking and very hilly, because it's in the mountains you know:)
My Mom has more pictures than I do from the zoo, so hopefully she'll put some on Facebook or something soon. Harper loved seeing all the animals and running around like a wild child. She got to feed the giraffes when we first got to the zoo, which was so awesome!
The views at the zoo were amazing!
My favorite part was the baby gorilla. I think it was about a month old. It was crazy to see how the Mom interacted with her little baby. It was just like a human! I really hairy, so ugly it's cute, human:)
Playing airplane!
Nursing the baby.
After the zoo, we went passed through the Garden of the Gods.
How crazy are these rock formations?
My husband is so strong:)
The next day, we just hung out. My Mom and I did a little bit of shopping and we grilled out hamburgers.
Saturday, we went to Stuart's game in the afternoon. His team didn't win, but it was fun to see him play for a little bit.
Saturday night, we got to go to a Thunderwolves game! I was so glad we were able to go up to CO for a home a game. My Dad got Kyle and me sideline passes. It was a lot of fun and fairly educational to be so close to the game.
Harper obviously thought the game was really exciting too.
:)
After a big win!
We left the next day. Harper had a temperature and was feeling pretty cruddy, but she slept almost the whole plane ride, so that was nice.
We had to snap a picture with Jackson before we left, although everyone is looking pretty rough:(
We hated to leave and loved spending time with everyone! Harper loved hanging out with her uncles, aunt and her Lovie and Pops! Love you all and hope to see y'all soon!
The first weekend in October, some of Harper's sweet friends came over for a playdate. Patrick travelled all the way from Corpus Christi and we were so happy to see him!
Unfortunately, at the beginning of the playdate Harper fell on the tile floor and I'm pretty sure she cracked a tooth! But, after a little Tylenol she was ready to play!
Playing so well together:)
A couple weeks ago, Kyle, Harper and I went out to Sweet Berry Farms to get pumpkins. We only came home with a little one for Harper but we had so much fun. It is such neat place!
Harper fed the goats, we took a country hayride, ate popsicles made fresh from their strawberries and went through the corn maze.
You can also pick flowers, get your face painted, stuff a scarecrow and a lot more. If you live in the Austin are, you should definitely go. It was about an hour drive for us, but it was worth it.
She wasn't sure about the goats at first.
Daddy helped her feed them.
She made a friend and shared her goat food.
How cute are they?
The fire department brought over a truck and some equipment for the kids to explore. I think Harper would've stayed in there all day if we had let her.
Breast Cancer Awareness helmet.
She loves horses.
First time seeing a donkey!
The horses were beautiful!
Flower picking!
And finally checking out the pumpkins.
And picking one out!
I think she had a pretty good day:)
We're excited about Halloween tomorrow. Harper loves her "Lion King Elephant" costume! Harper also has her 2 year check-up in the morning, so I'll be back with some stats and lots of pics from her birthday party!
Happy Fall Y'all!

Congrats on Baby #2! Are y'all going to find out the sex of this one??
ReplyDeleteThanks Jackie! I think we are going to find out this time. But I was eager to know with Harper in the beginning and then we decided to wait, so who knows! We're definitely winging this whole second pregnancy thing:) Life is busy with a two year old!
